Receiving his foodbox

The villagers with their foodboxes

I was able to help in blessing a community in the ‘bush bush’ (middle of nowhere). This village has around 800 people, and the people are suffering. They do have a well, but because the water is so salty, they are unable to use the water for drinking, cooking or for their crops. It truely was a desperate situation, and my heart breaks for these people. A friend, Celia, preached the gospel and afterwards we gave out food boxes, containing oil, sugar, rice, soap and flour, to 60 families. They were truely blessed and eternally grateful. As much as a blessing these boxes were, I have really been praying for more creative ideas of how we can help such communities more longer term, in blessing them with more self-sustaining projects.
