BAPTISMS!


7 people out of my community discipleship 2 weeks ago decided they wanted to be baptised! It was an AMAZING time. We all piled into our little truck and went down to the beach. It was such a blessing to be a part of their journey with Jesus; and to have seen them come to the Lord and now are really growing in their own relationships with him. Enjoy these special photos...

Go!

Matthew 28v18,

Jesus said to his disciples, 'I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, GO and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and Son and Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you, and be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age'.

I love this passage so much because I love this commandment to GO. To go in the knowledge that we are going in HIS authority, knowing that he is always with us.

I love putting this passage into action in the new evangelism and discipleship afternoons I am now doing. Its such a privilege and joy to be His messengers of His good news! This afternoon I was walking into the village and heard a small, 'boa tarde' (good afternoon) by an old lady through the fence. Using this as a good opportunity to share the gospel, we quickly walked in through her little correguated iron fence. After establishing that she had never heard about Jesus before, we told her the whole gospel. She was so keen to express that she wanted to have a relationship with this God, and after praying with her, she couldn't hold in her gratutide for us stopping for her. She said that 'she never before thought that something like this could happen to her!'. Praise the Lord!!

Isn't is amazing when we do 'stop for the one'?!

So many people have become christians in this community now that we are going to start up a brand new discipleship group next Monday. Please pray for this time.

Evidently I am not the best person at keeping my blog up to date.. I dont even think the bad internet connection is an excuse..although its painful up-loading one photo.


Its been an incredible last few months over here in this beautiful corner of Africa. My parents have been to visit and we all had a great time in the Kruger, adventuring with lions. We also spent a long weekend in Ponto do Ouro, the beautiful southern tip of Mozambique on the beach. An intended swimming-with-dolphins trip turned out to being an insanely incredible trip where i swam with a huge whale shark, and where we also were very close to two hump-backed whales! Such a gift.











Having now been here 7 months, its definately feeling like home. I love the girls more and more each day and love seeing them growing in the Jesus, and healing emotionally. A few days ago, we received a new little girl, Ilda. Such a tiny precious 5 year old. Praise God that she is here and can receive Father God's love and security. Please pray for her as she settles into life in Zimpeto.




The community evangelism has been amazing. Many people have come to know Jesus in the community, including 2 prostitues and I am gradually building up relationships with our neighbours here in Zimpeto. Soon, i am going to start up new discipleship groups up for these new christians!



Last week at the rubbish dump, Amelia, an elderly lady who we have been praying for for months becuase she was blind was healed! Praise God! this is such an encouragement to keep praying for people, because God is faithful and hears our prayers.

We've had a great time here at Zimpeto recently, and God has been touching many lives powerfully. At the weekend, Mama Ida was here for our Youth Conference. It was a blessed time, as the Holy Spirit poured out his fire upon us all in the church in abundance!! Here are pictures of the fire tunnels and prayer times..

This afternoon, I went into the community surrounding the centre with some of my girls and praise the Lord were able to lead many to Christ! It was an amazing time. The great thing is.. they are our neighbours, so live right close to our Church so can easily continue discipleship with these people.

...and this is Latifo now, only 3 monthts later, now nearly 3 years. He is chubby and weighs about 10.5kg, putting on about 7kg. What a testimony of what prayer, love and food can do!!
